How to automatically ship using the cheapest carrier

Automatically select the cheapest shipping label from Australia Post, Sendle and Aramex

Do you offer free shipping on orders over $X amount? Pikr makes it easy to increase your margins with automations.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to setup an automation that will select the cheapest available shipping label for orders with free shipping.            

By the end of this tutorial, you will have an automation that:

• Selects the cheapest shipping label from MyPost Business, Sendle and Aramex (Fastway Australia)
• for orders with free shipping

From the Automations page

1. Click on the Automation button in the top right corner.
2. A popup will appear, from the popup:

1. Click on the field and select 'Shipping Rate' from the dropdown menu
2. All your configured checkout shipping methods in Shopify will appear as options, select the option with the name you have given for Free Shipping. (Ours is Free Shipping in this example)
3. Next, set the automation action to run, select Set the Cheapest Shipping Label.
4. Finally, you will be prompted to specify all the shipping labels that are relevant:

For this example, we have set the following labels:

• Standard Parcel Post (MyPost Business/eParcel)
• Sendle Parcel Pickup (for Sendle)
• Aramex Parcel (for Aramex Fastway)

5. Press on the Create button to save. Done!

For all new orders, this automation will be run.

In the example below, from the Orders page, the automation was applied to this order as:

a. the Order has the shipping method Free Shipping

b. MyPost Business - Standard Parcel Post, was automatically selected as it was the cheapest option between Sendle and Aramex.
